Prof. Baki Kuru, PhD, graduated from the School of Law of the University of Ankara in 1955. He became a “Doctor of Law” at the University of Münster in Germany in 1958. In the same year he was employed by the University of Ankara as an assistant lecturer. He became an associate professor in 1960 and professor in 1966 in the same university. He worked as an academician on the civil procedure law, and execution and bankruptcy law in the University of Ankara until 1983. He retired in 1983. Since then he has been continuing his academic works and revising his books. He speaks German and French.

Prof. Saibe Oktay, PhD, graduated from the School of Law of the University of Istanbul in 1982. She started as an assistant lecturer at the Department of Civil Law of the School of Law in the same university in 1983. She completed her post graduate studies in the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Istanbul in 1984 and her doctorate in 1990. She became an associate professor at the Department of Civil Law of the School of Law of the School of Law, University of Istanbul in 1996 and a professor in 2003. She speaks French and German.
