Att. Med. Ayşegül Akbal is a Turkish Attorney-at-Law and Mediator with nearly 27 years of professional legal experience in Turkish Corporate Law, Commercial Law, Tax and Customs Law, Mergers & Acquisitions and complex commercial disputes.
After graduating from Şişli Terakki High School as the top-ranking student of the school, she completed her legal education at Istanbul University Faculty of Law and has since built a distinguished legal career representing major Turkish and international clients.
Before founding Akbal Law Firm, Ayşegül Akbal worked for 11 years as a senior attorney at Hergüner Bilgen Üçer Attorney Partnership, one of Türkiye’s leading law firms. Prior to that, she served for 7 years as a corporate lawyer within a Yapı Kredi Bank affiliate group.
Throughout her legal career, she has advised domestic and international clients on company formations, corporate governance, shareholder relations, board and general assembly procedures, mergers and acquisitions, tax disputes, customs matters, commercial litigation and strategic investment projects in Türkiye.
She also acts as a mediator and provides alternative dispute resolution services in commercial conflicts.
As a foreign attorney registered with the Hamm Bar Association under § 206 BRAO, she provides legal consultancy in Germany exclusively regarding Turkish law matters and cross-border investments involving Türkiye.
